Aix-en-Provence

Gardens at our hotel above

I absolutely loved visiting the Cote Bastide store in Aix...such beautiful, simplistic pieces...I loved the way they placed the olive branches all around the store and hanging on the front door as pictured. I purchased some beautiful towels here.

Aix-en-Provence is so pretty! Known as the town of a thousand fountains, Aix is lined with beautiful trees and gorgeous old buildings. Our hotel was surrounded by the most beautiful lush gardens which we sat in and enjoyed. Aix was a such a lovely place to come to after the hustle and bustle of Paris...this was where we were able to catch our breath for a few days...

I've always wanted to go to Aix en Provence. Now I'm even more convinced. The Cote Bastide shop looks wonderful. I too am lucky enough to have some of their towels (I paid an exhorbitant price for them in Melourne) but I still enjoy using them in our guest loo. I'm enjoying your pictures. Please keep sharing.

I adore Aix and also have wonderful memories from my time there. I am inspired by the use of the olive branches at Cote Bastide. Maybe I should think about something like that at Peacock Pavilions. Did they have branches in vases, too?

Lovely photos! I've heard Aix is just beautiful. I hope to go someday. I have visited Paris, though, but never made it to the flea markets. I'll have to check them out next time for sure!
