Wearing

This post isn't really anything to do with anything other than to say I am so in-love with gorgeous, big, fabulous, jewelled necklaces with white tee-shirts, blazers and jeans at the moment. I feel like this look is my uniform lately. My only complaint is that I sometimes get headaches from wearing lots of necklaces...do any of you have that same problem??!!

PS. The new Vogue Living just arrived on my desk. I can't wait to open it!!!

Yes all my necklaces are heavy. Niece FF constantly whinges that hers are heavy too. Perhaps it's genetic?

The 1st necklace should be yours I hope you've bought it.

Meanwhile my garden seems to have finally stopped dying and pulled itself together and started flowering, how's yours?

I'm off to action an early 5.30 pm 1977 style dinner like a Nana. I'm thinking stroganoff. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have a bit of a jewellery obsession myself but I never would have thought of teaming a big necklace with a white t-shirt! What a fab idea. I'm just waiting, hoping for the warmer weather. It's still freezing here... xx

p.s Love love love your blog!

I've sometimes wondered if I get a neck ache from wearing scarves! Love this look too, Anna ~ very chic.

I love these big chunky jewelled necklaces - I rarely have the courage too wear them, but they are all so pretty and such statement pieces!

I agree, its such an easy dress down, dress up look that can make jeans and a tee look so chic. I'm fine with necklaces but wearing heavy dramatic earrings give me a headache really quick!

It's funny you should say that about the headache thing. At the moment I am wearing quite a heavy metal flower bib necklace and I've only had it on for 2 hours and my neck and back are actually starting to feel it! The price we pay to look stylish...that's right, I'm not taking off though...it looks great!
Have a fantastic day! xOxO

Oh! What a classic uniform! It works everywhere from New York to Florence to Brisbane, to be sure! Those headaches are the worst (glad I'm not the only one), So I usually take off the necklace when I'm driving... It gives me a few moments to revive. Oh the price of fashion!

I'm so with you (on loving the necklaces). I try not to wear them for long periods of time; I divest myself of all jewelry once I'm home.

Anna,
Such a beautiful necklace. The neclace you are wearing must be too heavy.

Love the multiple necklaces, the rectangular crystals especially caught my eye. I have had a few clients asking for chunky necklaces and also long ones to layer with scarves etc. I think you are channeling Summer, love it, bring it on...

Thanks
Emma

Ooo I love necklaces as a statement. I like the idea of pairing it with a fresh white t-shirt. I agree it would be a great summer uniform.

Have you heard of Elva fields? Her necklaces are amazing!

It's so funny because I've totally gone into this craze for vintage costume jewelry lately. But I know what you mean by sometimes feeling like it weighs you down hehe.

Cheers,

Yes, I have skinny neck and cannot wear heavy necklaces or Hater bathing suits. They hurt my neck and give me a headache.
