At the moment nothing excites me more than the thought of Summer. Our weather here in Brisbane this week has been crazy hot. I feel like it's those hot few weeks we experience just before Christmas but it's still Winter. It does scare me a little to think that we are probably in for an extremely hot Summer. All this heat has got me looking at Pool Houses, Outdoor Showers, Beach House images etc. etc. So, here are a few images I'm loving right now. There's probably a few pics we've all seen before but nothing like a few good oldies to come back and inspire us...

That's funny--we had the opposite situation in NYC. We had a very chilly, rainy summer, and it's finally gotten truly hot, but it's going to be fleeting. I'd rather have your situation, although I hope you are spared from extreme heat. Love the images!

Wish you could send some of that warmth down here to Victoia. It is blowing a gale and oh so cold.

It is the same here in Argentina, the smell of spring is in the air!

Love these! It's also about a million degrees here in Hong Kong, but I think I'm ready for fall :)

I feel your pain as it's been over the top hot here in Houston. Your images are all fabulous representations of what summer is all about. The one by Hugh Stewart has to be my favorite. I have seen some incredible pool houses recently & the one you posted is right up there with them. Lovely ~

We have had the most wonderful summer in Kansas City. Only a few very hot humid days, and this week just lovely! We are all crossing our fingers, as it is so unusual!

Beatiful images. Many are ones I have saved over the years as well. I love the freedom that summer brings. I am jealous that ours is coming to an end and yours is just about to begin! Enjoy!!

I love all of this images! I'm sure your hot weather is not as crazy as our sticky Miami weather.

I've only seen chairs like the ones in the Brooks Gianetti photo once before. Do you what they're called or who manufactures them?

Your blog is lovely. Thanks for going to the effort for the rest of us.

We have had a really mild summer here in Los Angeles. This week has been the first week that feels like "let's go to the beach" weather.
Thank you for including an image of our weekend home! I'm a such a huge fan of your work (have been spending hours on your new website. Just gorgeous!), so you can only imagine how wonderful it feels to know that you like my work as well.

BTW: the "Charlie" chairs in our living room were designed by Steve and are part of our furniture line.
We've been looking for slim lined wing chairs for years. We finally gave up and just designed them!

my gosh, what inspiring images. I can't wait to have hours to explore all of your posts. I started a blog earlier this year with ideas in the areas of culinary, botany, roam (travel), mostly. I am moving to wordpress, to my own url. I need a great logo, did you design yours?
