On Saturday night after dinner at our local Thai restaurant, Harry and I walked into Riverbend Bookshop on the way back to the car.
Whilst Harry headed for his section I plonked myself in front of my favourite section. I was scouring through the interiors books when I stumbled across a book by US artist Kim Parker.
I actually ended up purchasing a different book. However, it didn't stop me googling Kim Parker when we got home.
I must be a little behind the times as I didn't realize she was the artist behind one of my favourite rugs at The Rug Company!
She has also created some beautiful floral embroidered cushions which I think would be a beautiful addition to any cushion collection.
I think I might head back to Riverbend Books to pick myself up a copy of her book this week to flick through over Easter.

I had no idea that she designed that rug either and it's one of my favorites. as a pattern designer i am in awe of her work- her look still looks new after many years of looking new!
The rugs, the pillows, and especially her art is sooo fabulous. Cheery and bright. Who would not be moved to happiness by these?!

Love it all and I love your blog... it is beautiful!
I've never been a fan of rugs, I always liked bare floors. But this rug actually changes my perception. I love it against the white floor.
Hi Anna, The Kim Parker rug you featured is so lovely. I stumbled across Kim Parker's book at Borders last year and bought it straight away! I also went and bought three of her posters from amazon.com and had two of them framed and they are now hanging in my dining room. I love her artwork and the colours she uses.
Oh, and I agree that the cushions are gorgeous too!
I love that rug - it's exquisite... it looks amazing in front of that equally incredible vanity!!!
I bought one of her large prints (framed) at Target a few years ago. She was featured in one of my magazines, back then - maybe Mary Engelbreit or Country Living. I love the colors and flowers. Perfectly put together!
oh, yes! that rug is beautiful.
