A Little Bit of Aqua

It seems I am inspired by touches of aqua. Scrolling through my picture files I notice I have lately saved quite a few aqua interiors as inspiration. I thought I would share a few with you.

Oh, sigh! Thanks, Anna ~ my favourite colour, especially with black and/or white. And I love that sofa! And chandelier. And little eensy stool laden with books, and the mirrors, and...and...

It seems this is the new IT color for time being, I have seen it pop up everywhere. I must say, it is always so refreshing, I love turquoise/gold or turquoise/black and white combinations.
Have you seen the blog www.houseofturquoise.com? You should have a look, she collects all things turquoise...beautiful!

Aqua is one of my favorite colors to use in interiors. That last photo is seriously making me consider painting my front door that color...

I just painted the ceiling in my office aqua. It's such a relaxing color and coordinates so nicely with many other hues. It really could be considered a neutral. Great pictures!

I know I am incorporating some aquas & turquoise into my decor, some of the shades are very soft & soothing; some are very bright.

My girlfriend's entire house has touches of aqua and it is wonderful. At no place in the house is there a large piece of color but instead it is in small amounts but does get noticed. Her home always seems "fresh."

I love, love, love the aqua touches. Very beachy and elegant at the same time. And the black and white sofa: very clever the way the box on the cushion is not matched is very cool. I think I'll have to try that on a slipcover one of these days. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think that the color of the front door was an incredible idea. So simple -yet-does so much for the interior. A nice little surprise.

I've just returned from the Kips Bay Showhouse in NYC. Bunny Williams did the most amazing room in a similar color!

Very cool to have an acqua colour for the front door! All the images are lovely, though. I do like ocean-inspired colours.

I love this colour , am thinking about it for a feature wall in my room the other main colours are white , chocolate and red. Turqoise has such an amazing quality that it can brighten a room so much yet be so calming and soothing in a space at the same time .
I am an interior design student and only recently started reading your blogs after my dad saved the section of the newspaper where your blog was featured a few months ago , I love your style it is so bright and fun yet still manages to be so elegant.
Thank you for your inspiration
Lyndsey

Appreciate the aqua as an emerging trend. I would love to see examples of aqua and brown and decorated ceilings, (they sometimes get ignored, don't they?)
