Passionate About Blue & White?

Well then you must get your hands on a copy of Carolyne Roehm's new book - A Passion for Blue & White. Look at this dreamy image from the book! I think my mother will flip out when she sees this post! I think this book would make for a wonderful Christmas gift! Jennifer over at The Peak of Chic has done a great post on the book today and Lily-G also posted about the book earlier this week too! Can't wait to get my copy!!

I used to have a huge collection of blue and white. One morning I woke up and decided it would all go. I sold it. Guess what? I'm kicking myself. So much so, that I'm collecting again...please send gifts of blue and white to Canada! (care of Liberty Post!)

I love Blue and White, so classic and goes with so many decors, can make an elegant statement or cozy up a corner as a grouping.

I cant wait to get my copy too, you did an amazing job on your Mum's home I fell in love instantly but then again I was always madly in love with your parents house, always very tasteful and she never stopped loving blue and white! I must admit its my favorite color scheme too! I remember when you just started decorating (was that over 10 years ago?) and you had just finished re-decorating your room, it was gobsmacking and I knew then that you had your mum's style!

I fell in love with Blue and White, from the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the kids breakfast is served on willow pattern-esque china. I have hungered for it ever since.

Cool blog by the way :)

Peoples' passion for blue and white is truly cross-cultural and generational. I import handmade and painted ceramics from Italy and Mexico and by far the most popular pieces are (you guest it) blue & white. I even created a section of my website dedicated to the sophisticated and always stylish color duo: EmiliaCeramics/Blue&White

No matter how "minimal" my design tendencies can get, I always long for blue and white ceramics. It's so elegant and the fresh colors keep it timeless. I'll have to check out that book, thanks for the post!
