Florence Broadhurst for Kate Spade

Helen with Kyle AndrewDana In the Studio

As an admirer of Florence Broadhurst patterns, I was so excited to see an email in my inbox today from Signature Prints sharing their very exciting news.  They have collaborated with Kate Spade for Kate Spade's year of pattern in 2012.  Apparently Kate Spade is working with The Florence Broadhurst Library to create one-of-a-kind products for 2012.  12 of Broadhurst's extra ordinary designs have been selected!!  Wow - exciting times ahead for our fabulous Australian friends!!  Can't wait to see what they have in store for us!!

A Chic Salvage

After

Before

Beth over at Boat Shed Chic was recently inspired by the ottoman covered in Florence Broadhurst Circles & Squares in Gwenyth Paltrow's house as featured on the front cover of the November 2007 edition of American House & Garden. As you can see above Beth's old ottoman has had a dramatic face lift with it's gorgeous new fabric and white painted legs. Beth has vowed to leave the upholstery work to the experts next time but what a beautiful job she has done!!

Florence Features Again

Being an Australian I find myself very proud every time I see a Florence Broadhurst fabric or wallpaper pop up in a room by an International designer so when I saw Brilliant Assylum's post on this bathroom by Woodson & Rummerfield my little Aussie pride jumped up again as the wallpaper used is a Florence Broadhurst design. Despite the questions circulating about Florence Broadhurst and "her" designs I am still so proud of this successful Australian product which is one of very few design products to have succeeded in Australian and International markets.
