A New Trend?

Could this pin wheel inspired design be a new trend similar to that of the chevron/zig zag phenomenon?

Love the bright colours and the combination on the table looks great. It has brightened my morning as a miserable day here here in Melbourne.

Pretty, vibrant colors, wouldn't they look good against a brown??

I love the shell encrusted fireplace in your previous post.

I hope you'll have a chance to stop by Splendid Market, subscribe and comment to enter my giveaway.

Fabulous blog. And I am already in love with this trend! What a coincidence, because I created a pinwheel skirt over on my blog: http://elleapparel.blogspot.com/2010/08/pinwheel-skirt.html.

i would say so...

i've been thinking about attempting to crochet a "ridged chevron" but the idea just terrifies me!

love the colours in the cushions, reminds me of a kaleidoscope that I had a toot.

Hmm, similar, but I think I prefer the pin wheel - curiously funky and 70s-ish.

I love the pillows. gorgeous. I'm in pillow frenzy mode these days. I'm in the middle of a pillow project. Hope to post it sometime this week.

If it is, I love it! I have a thing for stripes, colors and psychedelic patterns. It's very Paul Smith, don't you think?

Hi Anna - I'm a little late on the uptake I know, but I've been following your blog for a couple of months now, and I find you SO inspiring! For those of us who have long been reassured by the calm cool notes of faded Farrow & Ball, your use of bold colour is adventurous and exciting. It's opened up a whole new world of possibilities in decorating for me. So please - don't ever go! p.s. It's funny, this is the first time I've seen this pin wheel stripe, but you're absolutely right - I'm sure that it will catch on like wildfire! xx

I just bought a very similar pillow which is the same colourway but without the bend in the pinwheel. I love it!!!It has become my favourite pillow of all time. I hope the trend catches on.

You can find it here:

Oh, I just noticed that you have credited the pillow picture to a Fine Little Shop, where I bought my pillow. I can't seem to find these ones on her site though. Too bad, they are gorgeous.
