It has been such a hot Summer here in Australia so I thought I would cool things down a bit for my Aussie readers by posting some of my favourite pool images. The top image is my all time favourite pool and pool house which was featured in Elle Decor. The middle image is a new favourite which was also recently featured in Elle Decor and the last image I just love because of all the potted pink flowers.

That Elle Decor feature on Michael S. Smith made me want a labradoodle.
Oh I love that last pool!
PS Anna, I just received My French Life. Oh *gasp*. Thank you so much. Now I want to do My Moroccan Life. I am serious. What do you think?
Thank you Anna. This oppressive autumn weather we've been having is soul sapping - 39 degrees celcius. Obscene!
It's only starting to be spring here in the Washington, DC. area but your pools makes my mouth water for summer! I especially love the neoclassical poolhouse in the first image -too bad it doesn't have more flowers around the pool!
4 pots of pink flowers placed on the corners of that first pool could look wonderful Anon and so too could some beautiful lanterns!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!
I've always loved Steven Gambrel's pool house, top. I think it was inspired by the famous George Cukkor house cabana (later the Von Kersting house :)
I love that last pool... it looks so heavenly and tropical - makes me wish for hot weather and sunshine!!
Beautiful!!
Anna...my mornings are exciting..waiting to see what's on today. Always varied and interesting...the pool of blue with the waterful of pink blosoms are a picture!
Maryam - I think you should defintately follow your dreams!! A book would be wonderful! I'd buy it!! I still haven't been able to get another copy of My French Life - it's been out of stock so it's certainly been a very popular book!!
Thanks Anon - so glad my posts are keeping you coming back and that you enjoy looking and reading. I hope to hear from you again!
XO
Anna
I was just looking at Steven Gambrel's pool house the other day on his website. I adore it!
