A couple of images above of some of my own flower & book vignettes.

Courtney's book & flower tablescape above.
When creating a tablescape or vignette I often find myself hunting around for beautiful books and fresh flowers arranged in vintage vases to throw into the mix and I notice I'm not alone. Courtney at Stylecourt often talks about her love of design books and has shown us on her blog images of some of her very own tablescapes where she mixes fresh posies of flowers with collections of her favourite books. Megan Samuels from Beach Bungalow 8 is also another flower/book lover and I just adore the picture above of her vintage silver jug filled with beautiful flowers and a pile of her favourite books. What things do you like to mix into a vignette or tablescape?

Anna! What a fun surprise this morning! I'm so flattered you used my picture.
Your book above (marbled or floral cover?) looks amazing and as always your tablescapes always feel so fresh!
Flowers, flowers, and more flowers! And porcelain too.
I *wish* I could afford fresh flowers every week but at the moment it's just books and more books (we have yet to get a proper book case).

Anna, that second image with the orange chair and yellow roses is especially stunning!
I love the photos, especially the last one. The black lampshade and pink roses are beautiful and I love the chair reflected in the mirror. Wonderful!
Ooohh love the pics :D
I love blue glass so you might find a blue vase or a blue ornament. Flowers. I love fresh but that is a luxury. Luckily I've managed to find some really nice silk peonies and gardenias. Votives are a nice touch too. I also collect small wooden figurines. Every fortnight or so I change my displays around, highlighting a different collection "lust-have" I own. People always comment how great the house looks... and I'm in a rental!!!
So inspired by your blog :D
gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous ~ thanks for the pick-me-up!
They are all lovely images. I love to have fresh flowers in the house and mixed with books they do look fantastic. I'm also a fan of using candles, even when they're not lit they still smell fantastic on warm nights, and usually are packaged in lovely containers.
Such pretty images! I always worry that water from the vase will spill on the books. I like to put lamps on books.
These are beautiful images Anna! I just love the idea of using flowers on a vignette. I just always love your displays :)

Thanks Courtney - the cover of that book is actually a little bit French Baroque with scrolls etc.

Apryll - I know fresh flowers can be expensive. I often find that I cut fresh leaves off trees which I place into a vase or even just one flower in a little vase looks so gorgeous!
Oh yes, Anne isn't Megan's vignette just so gorgeous!!

Flowers are such a rare, luxury at my house. Since our cat likes to knock over anything filled with water, we really only get them for special occasions. Until then I will live vicariously through your photographs posted here.
I love all of these vignettes - your beautiful photos have inspired me to try to tidy up and make my own house look pretty. Thank you Anna.
