New Things

We've had another influx of new things at Black & Spiro this week.  The new blue and white inlay chest of drawers which we have placed in our front window with the butterfly fabric is very beautiful.  We also have new pale pink cockatoo lamps which we've had custom made for our store, lots of new cushions in fabrics I bought when we were overseas earlier this year, a pair of antique armchairs and yet another delivery of our special blue and white ginger jars.

It certainly has been a busy week getting all of our new things into the shop.  Here are a couple of photos I thought you might like to see.  The colourful, mismatched and at times very wild style we seem to be known for is very noticeable in these pictures.

I can't believe it's Friday tomorrow already and another long weekend.  I don't know about you but I'm finding it hard to fit everything I need to do into these short weeks!!

Hello Anna, I love visiting your site. I come here for inspiration, ideas, and sometimes to simply remember what it was like to have a little one and a career. Not an easy task and you are doing it so well.
Today I want to show you a clock that was hand made and given to me by the mother of a dear friend. I can't seem to apply it to this comment.
She does have an Etsy page and is feverishly working to restock it, as she has sold everything.
Her site is
http://www.etsy.com/shop/Kathrynk80?ref=seller_info
She is a new member to Etsy, and does amazing work. My clock, is Navy and white, which I immediately thought of as I looked at the chest of drawers. If you do leave here and go to her Etsy site, don't be discouraged that there are no new products. As I said, she is busy working is her gallery! My clock has many of the same qualities as the clock already sold on her site.
Please be patient and visit often. You will not be disappointed. Etsy has a plethora of talent!
This really did not mean to be an advertisement for Etsy... as I do adore your site!!! Sorry if it seems that way. I just love talented people!!!

It is a fresh and lovely look Anna. Your feature in Canadian House and Home really inspired me to bring in some more colour to my own house and it has transformed it. I do hope they feature your new home one day......
