Sunday Lunch

I love the idea of a Sunday lunch like this with family and friends around a beautiful old table with lots of flowers, wine and great food. Now that Winter is almost here I think I need to plan a lunch like this out on the grass in our garden under our big old tree around our old French dining table.

I've always thought Sunday lunch was special and we kept that traditions as long as our daughter was home.

Visits to your blog always prompt me to create something beautiful, whether it's an arrangement of flowers I've cut from my garden or a painting using colors that inspired me here. Next Sunday I'm planning a family gathering, and I think I will move my farm table out under the oak trees down by our pond for a shrimp boil. Thanks for another absolutely beautiful idea!

I love the photo - I am using the same chairs on our latest project.

Would you believe that I bought 4 in France and then bought 4 on ebay.co.uk for 1/3 of the price that they are here in France!

After seeing your post yesterday, I immediately went out to buy some fresh veg, did a roast chicken with all the trimmings and had a wonderful Sunday lunch
, something I have not done in ages. Even though it really is full on winter here in Cape Town, it still felt great to do the big lunch! Thanks for the inspiration!
