From The Files

I have had this house on file for quite sometime. I re-discovered it the other day when I was hunting for something to show a client in one of my many magazine tear out files. It belongs to Danish jewellery designer Marlene Juhl-Jorgensen. I adore her collections which she has featured against an all-white background. In my opinion this house seems so glamorous yet so simple and family friendly at the same time.

That's so gorgeous! I've always loved painted wooden floors. It is indeed a very Scandinavian space. Fab!

I agree! It is very glamorous but so comfortable and lived in too. I'm in need of some framing inspiration too so this couldn't have come at a better time!

Have a lovely week. xx

the candlesticks are very pretty and I love the white chairs... for some reason I want to put your antique cloisonne jar in one of these rooms! :)

Such a stunning home! Both elegant and inviting -- adore the dining room chandelier and gallery wall especially.

Love the lighting in all the photos... it really makes the furnishings stand out...The first photo is a definite eye catcher w/the silver..

As I was enjoying each of these images it became clear to me upon reading your description why they spoke to me so...they are from a Danish designer. There is just something special about the Danes design aesthetic that gets me every time.

Thanks so much!

This is a lovely house. Really like the deep bookshelves that frame the entry into the room. Great farmhouse sink too!

Found my perfect kitchen!! Just think open shelving is the way to go..so tired of the usual kitchen cabinet storage thing..love to display all the collections of dinnerware..so the open shelving is perfect..also forces one to edit..cabinets encourage hoarding of unused stuff.
