Mum's Kitchen Finds

My mum emailed me these Kitchen pictures from Southern Accents & Cottage Living earlier this week as I am about to re-do my kitchen at home. It's so lovely to have a mum like my mum - always on the ball. She really is the only person in the world whose sense of style I completely and utterly trust!!

Love these pics! White is so chic! Mind you... I've learnt by my mistakes. In my last home I put in white tiles on my backsplash just like in these pics, but being italian I cook tomato sauces often (not well, but often, and not in a tidy fashion either!) and the splashes where impossible to get out of the grout! LOL!! Everyone who came over knew I'd been making pasta! So in my home now, I have a glass splash back which is much easier to clean and far more practical for Italians!!! LOL!!!

The first kitchen I have had in my "dream house file" for quite some time. Still a pleasure to see that kitchen. Pretty post.

I'm crazy about that image at top. Can't wait to see photos of your kitchen- after you've finished the renovation, of course!

of course I adore these images Anna.....so similar to my heavenly new kitchen, especially now with the newly chosen american oak feature bench coming soon. these kitchens are so classic aren't they. never tire of seeing this style.and they most likely improve with age and use and the sense of home seeping into its very being.your mum sounds very special.

If you like this kitchen, I will send you clips of another kitchen that was recently in Veranda. My kitchen is original to the house, avec the newish appliances of several years ago. As they say, "the grass is always greener on the other side"- and I really want an all white or creamy kitchen.

We (Cantley & Company, Inc) did this kitchen. It is in
Birmingham, Alabama. A wonderful designer, Mary Evelyn McKee built the house about 10 years ago, it is still one of my favorites.

I love the kitchen. The only thing that throws me off a bit is the dishwasher in the second photo. It doesn't quite blend with the space and the other cabinets.

Beautiful kitchen...love the floors and the oversized (in height) subway tiles. The different shape makes all the difference in this kitchen. Love the restraint in the first image.
