I love this idea of having a special area with a large sink and lots of bench space to arrange flowers - something to add to the file for the dream house!!
I would so love to have a flower/potting room with a large old wooden potting table, shelves full of interesting pots to use, bins full of wonderful soil and amendments, lights shining through large windows for inspiration, a huge old porcelain or cement sink.....oh to dream...
Completely a part of my dreams!First, to have a garden that produces many gorgeous blooms! Second, to have a room like these to spend time in. Third, to always have gresh flowers around the house.
Oh my goodness, I love that sink! Definitely a dream of mine to have such a room as well. Even if its to pretend its for flowers, and really just wash my daughter's juice stained onesies!! Ha!
i love this idea too Anna i found a great image of one in USA vogue - beautiful! I included it in my inspiration page here http://www.flickr.com/photos/anastasiac/2304066322/

Oh me too Anna! There are so many special rooms that i would love. But where does it end??
Both of these images are gorgeous.
I'm with you, every woman should have one.

Anna,
I adore these shots! So tidy and beautiful.
I so hear what you're saying! Cutting stems and trimming leaves results in an utterly wet and dirty kitchen. Could we call it the "green room"?
that second room is lovely. xo
My friend is a florist and has a room just like this. I have to be dragged out screaming and kicking and could watch her making displays forever
Hi there,
I love your blog and it has inspired me to try one of my own. Please visit and tell me what you think.

Absolutely divine - love the blue! It's similar to my old 'rustic' blue kitchen:

Love this concept - imagine spending the morning arranging the flowers for your home and then sitting back with a delightful cuppa! Bliss.
Truly the dream house and the dream garden. Imagine picking all those flowers from your garden.
Heaven.
Love your posts, a little bit of dreaming for each day.
Oh so lovely!!!
Wouldn't you love having a room like this?
Beautiful indeed!
Love, love, love these rooms! Isn't the first one from a recent Martha Stewart article? I think I have it cut out somewhere. :)
having a flower room seems like a great idea.
Now that would be a true luxury! Love the photos Anna!
i can't keep anything alive but i adore the second imagine

Beautiful! Was collecting images of garden sheds and garages with gardening corners and then happened upon your pretty post on flower rooms!
Lovely images! My parents have a space like this in the backyard... but to have it inside would be a true luxury!
