A Cry for Help

My heart goes out to all of those who have lost loved ones, their homes, their lives, their towns in the worst bush fires Australia has ever seen. This is a very hard day for so many Australians.

Find it in your heart to give even if it is only small it will help in some way. I was so taken by Judy at Lily-G's generous donation of the remaining sale items in her homeware/furniture store which she is going to pack up and send down to Victoria. I hope we can all find a way to help our fellow Australians.

* Donations to the Red Cross fund can be made using a secure online donations form or by phoning 1800 811 700.

* Donations to the Salvation Army fund can be made by calling 13 72 58 or via http://www.salvos.org.au/

Anna,
Thank you for posting this. We need to send this info all around our blogging community. What these people have gone through is unimaginable. The stories that have filtered into London are unbearable. Anything we can do will help.
Thanks again.

Oh Anna, my heart goes to everyone affected by your fires - I know full well, first hand, the devestation these fires bring - we have them here in Southern California, too. I just donated what I could through Red Cross (thank you for providing the information), and my thoughts and prayers are out there.

Hey Anna,
I love your blog, not just because of your amazing talent but also because I'm an Aussie living in California and it makes me feel a little less homesick.
I'm also heartsick about whats happened in Australia this weekend, the loss of lives both human and animal, the loss of property - just devastating.
God bless Aus and keep up the good work Anna.

Words cannot express the devastation we are seeing in country Victoria.
I would like to donate all proceeds from our Valentine's Day cupcake sales to the Red Cross. http://www.thecupcakecompany.blogspot.com/
I urge everyone to donate a little something to help ease the pain of our fellow Australians.

Oh its just so sad and the pain and suffering is just incomprehensible. Thankfully I haven't personally been affected by this, but sad stories of acquaintances are starting to trickle in.

It's so sad to hear of so many little towns - some of which I've stayed in before, and have family living in - being destroyed by fires. It breaks my heart. As if a drought and all that hot weather wasn't bad enough. I really hope they catch the arsonists...

Hi Anna
So sorry to hear about this. I have sent a donation from Canada. It is a small token, but I hope it can help. I hate for people to suffer. I hope that their lives can soon return to normal.
