Jackie & Her Children

I was recently asked 91 questions in an interview for an exciting thing I will be involved in later this year. One of the questions I was asked was;

Who, in your opinion is/was the best dressed woman?

I answered Jacqueline Kennedy. I googled images of her recently and became instantly obsessed with the images of her and her beautiful children. It must be my current nesting instincts which drew me to these photos. I thought I'd share a few here today. Aren't they beautiful...

Jackie is Our Leader- I've even named her as such on my blog. I never get bored of looking at her outfits and think she was the best dressed woman EVER. Plus she had the best jewels, the best hair and was a Leo- what's not to love? Because I am such a Crazed Jackie Fan I can tell you where all of those photos were taken and the year (Hyannisport, White House School room, Hyannisport,Palm Beach, White House. With more thought I could give you the year and probably the month.) Call Me. We'll workshop Jackie. Our Leader. You need to get her auction catalogue and the catalogue of her clothing exhibit form the Met too xxxx

"If you bungle raising your children I don't think whatever else you do matters very much." This is the JKO quote that made me admire her as a woman. I had always admired her dignity and her style, but this quote made me see her as a woman of true values and admirable focus. I hope that one day Caroline writes a book about her parents as she knew them.

When I was in high school I read a book about the Kennedy's and I was totally taken in by Jackie. I wanted to be her, dress like her, the whole bit. Even now, decades later her images are gorgeous. Now that is style.
Thanks for sharing.

Stunning! She is such a fashion icon and yet, she is also remembered for her gracious manners and the great attention she gave to raising her children.

Can't wait to someday be a lovely, devoted mother like Jackie was and you are, Anna!

Jackie Kennedy Onasis was an absolute woman of beauty and grace. The way she carried herself was a lesson for women of her time and in ours. She was a beautiful woman of great character.

Beautiful pictures. I love the one where Caroline is messing up her hair, and J. doesn't seem to mind at all. Now that I am a mother, these pictures are particularly poignant, because I love motherhood so much, and I think these pictures express that same enjoyment.
