I am always on the hunt for new, exciting, beautiful fabrics as fabric is my starting point for the rooms/homes I design. We have just received some absolutely beautiful new fabrics in and I must admit I am completely smitten with this orchid fabric. My favourite colourway is this one above but it doesn't work with my current wall colour at the new house. As painting the house {which is going to be a mamouth cost} is not yet on the agenda I am going to have to work with the existing colours which are all very heritage!! So I am going to cover a couple of old chairs I have in the yellow colourway which you can see peeping through underneath...it's very beautiful too but that pink is just to die for, don't you think?!!

Wow, I just love that orchid print...its so unique (and the background matches your blog perfectly).
Anna - I hate federation colours, all those maroons, school-uniform green and nicotine yellow (well, that's what I call them). Why don't you just paint everything your usual white to begin with to get rid of these colours. Come on Anna!!!
It's the same colour pink as your blog!! And thus Perfect.
Who doesn't love an orchid print fabric?
What a beautiful fabric!
Hi Anna, Have a look at my blog www.restoringtheoldgirl.blogspot.com I have just included the name and number of our painter, who was incredibly well priced and has done an amazing job, despite all the warnings from people that the job might to 'too cheap'. Good luck with the new house.
I am so pleased to hear you say you start with fabric...OF COURSE!! My husband and I always debate this as he thinks we should start with paint colour and find fabric to fit the paint. I LOVE fabric too so it makes complete sense to me to fall in love with the fabric first!! This is just the evidence I need.
I saw the name Anna Shapiro and thought you were my best friends daughter same name . nice post. yvonne
I am getting old sorry it's Spiro

Adorable, dear Anna, adorĂ¡vel!!! Kisses, beijos, Bela.
Gorgeous! I'd be smitten, too!
hi anna,
this is going to be so great watching you decorate this new house and actually work with what you've got instead of starting from scratch. this will be a great inspiration to us all who have to work within budgets. watching you expertly apply color is so fascinating and fun.

Stunning indeed. What I love is the size of the orchids!
Mmmmmmm. I'm smitten too. Great colors. I don't know what your wall color is but I think this could work with a lot of different options. If you use it somewhere I hope you will share with us. :)

Wow, I love it too!!
Love the fabric too! Who is the designer?
Oh Anna, you're going to have to use that pink somewhere in your new house!! It's too beautiful. Hope you're settling in. You boys are going to love running around in that yard for years to come. I'm already imagining Easter egg hunts... Px
Yes!! The pink orchid fabric is perfect!
It's so very pretty! I just posted about my pretty pink orchid :)
Well, Anna, the pink is Your Color, and I do like it, but I think the Yellow will surprise you, it's very neutral(as you know)and also very happy. You strike me as a very happy person, so I think this will be a good choice!

Gorgeous fabric! Captures the lovely lines of the orchid.
...love the fabric..looking forward to seeing more of your new home!
Hello Anna , my blog is one year old. Good reason to celebrate birthday. I organize a raffle, I would be glad if you would choose an object, which is then raffled among all participants. All are invited.
This is one of my all time favorites! I've used it before on an ottoman in a clients home, but it's hard to find clients who want to spend that much on fabric! It's expensive, but worth every penny if you can!!
Aloha and love all you do of course!
