Flowers on Monday

Here are some pretty roses in blue and white ginger jars which I couldn't help taking a photo of at mum and dad's today. I don't think anyone has as many blue and white ginger jars as my mother and still she continues to buy more. Whenever we get new blue and white pieces in at the shop she just cannot help but take a few more home...and yes if you look closely {in the background} she does have a hot pink dining room!!

I've only got one such jar that I've treasured for years. I think I'll try a new use for it with fresh flowers this summer.

Thanks,

I love all the blue ginger jars and have started my own small collection. My husband is not as appreciative of them as I am and says things like "why are you decorating with Chinese accessories."

How would you describe the style that blue ginger jars bring to a home? Our home is in Southern CA and is a combination of Tuscan and Seaside style, but at heart I'm really a blue and white girl - I've just had to compromise.

Please help me articulate this to him.

Graciously,
Mary Jane

Your sweet mum has an incredible taste. It's no wonder you're the same. Lovely home, roses and I am just loving those type of vases. I have my eye out for them in my part of the world. I only managed to purchase two cute tea cups at a local philipino market but want some more. Wish me luck with my hunt.

Have a wonderful day.
