Pretty Poppies

I must say I am a little bit obsessed with the poppies we are growing in our garden at the moment.  They just seem to be sprouting out everywhere.  Their ruffling petals are so pretty and the colours so bright and uplifting!!   Here are a couple of photos I took on the weekend of some I cut for the house.

I adore poppies ~ their wayward stems and petals that seem to unfurl every which way. And the colours are always so cheerful. These are beauties, Anna.

Those flowers are beautiful. Hopefully next year my flowers will be blossoming like that!

How beautiful and how lucky to have these flowers blooming in your garden!

For three seasons I have tried to get poppies to grow from seed and they have always failed to thrive.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend,
Liz

Wow, Anna. Those poppies really pop! I think I'd like to plant some for next summer. I love flowers you can cut and bring inside. Nice job! Susan

Hi Anna,
Just wanted to congratulate you on your interview in the "U on Sunday" pull out magazine in last weeks Sunday Mail.
Gracious, honest and humble as always.
Great to hear we are not alone when it comes to loving our work, juggling our private lives and trying to stay sane all at the same time. You seem to do it so well.
Wonderful article.

All my best,
Daryl x
