Alfoil Packages

We have this thing in our family of packaging up food parcels in silver alfoil after big family events for everyone to take home.  My grandmother's soirees always end with a divvy up of the amazing left overs which she has often spent days preparing.  This similarly happens at my mother's house too.  But it really hasn't been a thing which happens at my house as I don't love to cook.  It's just not my thing.  I mean I can cook but I really don't get the enjoyment out of it like my mother and my grandmothers do.

I think I am starting to become known in our family for a different type of silver alfoil package....

Whenever anyone has visited our house lately they have left with a big bundle of fresh flowers from our garden which are wrapped at the base with wet tissues and silver alfoil for the trip home.  Here's the little bundle of fresh lavender, calendulars, basil, bougainvillea etc. I collected out of our garden today for a special family member.  I hope she gets lots of enjoyment out of them this week.

I am yet to tell the family that our huge trellis of sweet peas will be in flower next week...I'm sure they'll all be dropping in for a visit once they know this!!

xx

So beautiful and way less calories!! I'd prefer the flowers myself since I'm the one who sends food home, only I use recycled sour cream, feta cheese or marg containers!! Happy Sunday to you! I'm sure they'll be around for the sweet peas too!

What a joy to leave your home with such a beautiful reminder of the evening. Nothing makes me happier that fresh flowers throughout mine! My hydrangeas have lost their color. I am not a gardner. My husband was. I think I will now have to run to the market to get some fresh beauties!!

There is nothing nicer than giving away flowers from the garden, my Mum use to do that all the time. I can't wait for my own plants to start growing so I have flowers at my fingertips! Have a great week x

Hi Anna. I stopped in at Black and Spiro on Friday, and wanted to let you know how gorgeous I found it to be, just as I had imagined. Meredy, from Count it all Joy, had flown in to spend the weekend in Toowoomba with me, and we just had to see it in real life! You were busy, on your way to an appointment, so we shied away from saying hello, but the shop is beautiful. The silver tray I ordered online and received last week is awesome! Cheers, Beck x

Well, I'd much rather take home flowers than food! That's such a wonderful thing to be able to share..

NOTHING better than fresh flowers out of your garden to share with others and these are AMAZING! I remember when I was a little girl I used to take foil packaged posies to school for my teacher!

Oh those blooms are wonderful and that is the best way to take home flowers. I remember taking flowers from home to my teacher with the tissue/alfoil wrapping...that makes them even more special I think.
