Serious Undercushioning

Finding the time to work out a few little things I need for home has proven to be a bit hard lately with a baby in the house and a busy shop to juggle.

If my friend Faux Fuchsia could see my very undercushioned sofas right now she would be in shock as undercushioning {her very own term for not enough cushions} in her world as well as mine is a big NO NO. Actually, I think many of you would be in shock. So, late this afternoon I spent a few little minutes with myself and my collection of fabrics in our stock fabric room at Black & Spiro. I found a few old pieces of fabric I have been saving for a rainy day and let me tell you my rainy day has come. So I whipped them out and packaged them up and off to the workroom they will go tomorrow.

I can't wait to get some fresh cushions in the house. It really is amazing what a few new cushions can make to a room!! How's your cushion situation at the moment?

stunning fabrics - I can hardly believe that you are so restrained when it comes to raiding the stock room - I would be constantly helping myself. Having said that when i had my own boutique the thought of shopping or trying on clothes was deplorable. Enjoy your cushioning....

I love cushions too, a quick and easy way to give a room a refresh. Unfortunately my cushion situtation isn't great at the moment. Mainly because I am packing up to renovate but even before this my two kids keep throwing them around so they don't last long on the sofa. I like the fabrics you have picked, great for Spring. Hope bubs is going well and you are getting some rest.

My bedroom is in desperate need of some cushions before a photo shoot next friday but alas the live in financial advisor has stamped his foot loudly and protested that we need to spend this weeks funds on some plants for the external shots.
Looks like I will be moving cushions from one room to another....I love that second fabric Anna its stunning.

I have one sofa with no cushions. It looks completely disgusting. I still have not gotten round to getting a colour scheme worked out so I can get cushions.

Both of these fabrics are gorgeous - I especially love the first one. I've been in the process or re-cushioning my bed for a few months but I can't seem to pull the trigger and pick my fabrics!

Right now I actually have just the pillow inserts on one of my couches! How bad it that...your post has given me a nudge to do something about it.

I think a few throw pillows can make all the difference in the world! I made a couple myself last week and I love what they did for our living room! They are gray zebra striped. Love em.

The second fabric brings back memories of fighting over the remote control with my siblings. We did always agree on the Golden Girls, though. We had couch in a very similar fabric and design. I loved that couch so. My dad hated it.

beautiful fabric you used.
I just finished a crochet cushion.
I like to have a lot of cushions in the living room but also in my bedroom. It's always handy when some one isn't listing.

I can NEVER have too many cushions! (Does that make me never knowingly undercushioned?)They are one of the easiest and most cost effective ways of trying a new interior style - love them! Your fabrics are gorgeous too - can't wait to see the end result. xx

Well I definitely have a case of undercushioning at the moment! However I am super excited about the spaces you are currently working on for me, involving 22 new cushions! What a great injection of colour and pattern I am going to have. I can hardly wait. I don't think I'll ever suffer from undercushioning again :)

Anna! Usually I'd say that Undercushioning is the Devil's Work, but don't worry- your situation is a temporary one and I know soon it will pass!

Meanwhile I think you need to get your mitts on the latest Diggers catalogue- purple flowering plants as far as the eye can see.

Have a lovely weekend x

A very timely post for me. I am off tomorrow to hunt through some gorgeous Florence Broadhurst fabrics here at Sydney's Signature Prints, to make some cushions. Might be gone for a little while...

My couches are seriously undercushioned. The couches are large and beige. Between them they have three cushions, 2 lovely white ones with embroidered fern print and one large rust coloured ruffley thingy. They're not meant to be together. But the two fern ones look sad and lonely.

My cushion situation is dire. So bad that even my husband, who hates cushions, agrees!
I would love to have you make cushions up for me but the Melbourne- Queensland distance is a bit of a challenge!

Can you ever have enough cushions??? I have loads, but need some more for the sofas right now as five on each seems not enough.
Looking forward to seeing some shots of your house Anna.
