Two Lovely Bedrooms

I was on the Living Etc. website today and I came across these two bedrooms I love. The top one in particular is my favourite. I love the thrown together mix of patterned fabrics and vintage pieces. This style of decorating always looks unique and individual. The thing I like best in the bottom room is the cabinetry...fantastic idea for a small room don't you think?! I even love the idea of installing bookcasing around a bed in this same way.

I love the idea of cabinetry or bookcases surrounding a bed...I have a few images in my inspiration files. I am new to blogging and wish I had found your wonderful site earlier...we were in Brisbane in November and I would have loved to see your store. Next time...

I'm a big fan of loads of storage and if it can look as good as that cabinetry does, then all the better.

Nice images Anna. Livingetc is my favourite magazine. The rooms never look contrived or over-decorated. A look I strive for but never quite manage!

I love the mix and the vintage pieces in the first image as well.

Both really lovely bedrooms - I really like how the stool, cushion and throw brings to life a relatively simple roo. Great mix of colour, ethnicity and texture.

I completely agree! I love the top photo especially, but being surrounded by books when you go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning has got to be heavenly.

Ye-es...Love the cabinetry but I have a strong averion to anything jammed against a wall like the chest of drawers in the top photo, looks so cramped and mean I always feel.Just my personal pickiness.
Pretty blog!

I love both, but the first thing I thought of in the first room is how unusable the room looks...so cramped**...how do you access those dresser drawers? But other than that, the colors, textures and patterns...so lovely.
**I know cramped, I live in a super tiny older home (really old).
