Pretty Yellow Wattle

Whilst I have been out on my morning walks of late I have noticed the wattle trees in flower all over the place. When I went down to the park with Harry yesterday there was one large tree in flower. I picked a few branches and brought them home and then arranged them in an old crystal vase my grandmother gave me a couple of years ago. I just adore the vibrant yellow of the flowers against the grey-green of the leaves.

You're so lucky to have Wattle trees in flower, way down south here in Melbourne it'll be a few months till our wattle trees are in bloom, I love wattle, they say it's unlucky to have it inside, I've found it quite the opposite! and also adore the contrast of the vibrant yellow against the soft grey-green leaves
My hubby being a keen trout fisherman says "When the Wattle's out The Trout Are About"

I've enjoyed my vist to your lovely blog

Agreed with Julie. The platter is gorgeous! I've always been a sucker for Blue Italian, though.

very pretty Anna. reminds me of being a little girl picking wattle for my grade 3 teacher. I even remember where the tree was, outside the preschool room. great memories.

Such a lovely pictures, oh I cry for my Flow blue platter, that my daughters new kitty broke into a million pieces, but she is such a sweetheart, I never gave it a second thought.
