I just love this idea for a night time garden party. I found this image on New York Social Diary a few months ago and I have been lusting over it ever since. I am celebrating my 30th Birthday later this year and I would just love to have a party like this!! I'll keep dreaming shall I??!!
Absolutely LOVE the lanterns!
ReplyDeleteAnna did you know that my wedding was at a garden. I think is the best place to make parties at. Go for it
ReplyDeletei'm helping with my best friend's 30th birthday soiree is coming this may. i'm so loving the night-time lantern adorned celebration decor ~ thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOh the great three O, I've had 2 big Os since that one. Great party image
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and Happy Birthday...
ReplyDeleteYou should go for it!! Those lanterns are gorgeous! :)
Don`t just dream...DI it...you`ll only be 30 once and you and everyone else there will remember this forever...very special and magical!!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so wonderful! I also like the thought of having a party outside in the dark. The problem is that when you live this north the nights are allways either light or cold.
ReplyDeleteI went to a party and the hostess had a paper lantern chandelier constructed and the lanterns were in white, ecru and the slightest pink and were all hanging from grosgrain and satin ribbons from a large circle hanging from the ceiling of a tent. It made for an amazing focal point. I thought it was a great take on the usual.
ReplyDeleteI think that this looks so dreamy! I celebrated my 30th only a couple of weeks ago, and I had a Bollywood theme. Indian catering, everyone in saree's and bollywood movies on a big screen. It was a blast. There's no better occasion to live out a party fantasy! Let us know what you end up doing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous image and idea..

totally swoon worthy!
Stunning photo. That would be an awesome party. I wish we had a big enough outdoor space. We have a small deck that fit one small table and 4 chairs. Great for us and one other couple, but not a party.
ReplyDeleteThis is Great, You sould Do it. Last year for my 21st I was going to do a similar party, but that afternoon it started to poor down rain and we had to move the party to another house :(
ReplyDeleteI agree Courtney - I think this is my favourite thing about this picture!
ReplyDeleteOh wow Julie - your wedding must have been so amazing. Can't wait to see the pictures you are going to post on Belle Vivre!!
