What a wonderful reminder! And one that is so very true. I always try to tell people this (strangers included) if I find myself thinking it. I know how it makes me smile when I hear such words myself. And the same goes for complimenting some part of an outfit that I've admired, a haircut, etc.
A coffee shack I frequented on a visit to Seattle had sleeves on the take away cups printed with messages like this. It was such a small easy way to make the day better for customers.
So true, nowadays I always try to tell people that, but i didn´t do that before...
