I love these words of wisdom from architect Bill Ingram! I completely agree with him because if you delay that special thing will be gone and you will regret it forever!!
I agree absolutely .... that's why I've been wandering around the house this evening, with a new painting I bought tonight and can't find anywhere to hang it !!
I will remember this for the next time I'm out thrifting. I always second guess myself, saying 'but what if i can't find a use for it. Next time, I'm buying it. Thank you for the lovely advice.
I was utterly smitten by an Edwardian portrait of a woman at an art auction twenty years ago, just before coming to Australia. She had on a vast feather hat which obscured her eyes, and over time the paint had darkened and cracked - it was THE most enigmatic painting. And because it was slightly over my budget, and I was worried about shipping, I let her go.
Hmmmm this is a hard one though because I've seen many things I wanted but then thought where do I put it! But your right, if you dont get it there and then you might not ever see it again.
Oh I so agree...... but substitute the word 'shed' for house in my case! Your upcoming store sounds wonderfully creative and innovative. Have fun! A-M xx
So true!!! Your home should always be filled with "things" you love, but especially with the PEOPLE you love. :-)

... and you know what; when you go looking for that special something you'll never find it, so you might as well buy it when you see it :)
