Work in Progress

I thought I'd share a couple of in-progress photos of a house I am currently working on.  The wallpaper in the powder room was just installed the other day and we also recently completed the main bedroom.  We are about to commence work in the formal lounge room.  The colours we have chosen for the lounge room are orange, purple, green and duck-egg blue.  Next time I'm over at this house I will try to take a photo of the outside as it is one of the prettiest houses I've seen here in Brisbane.

  7. Wow.... Dramatic! Perfect for a powder room! I love dramatic powder rooms because it doesn't over power the rest of the house, yet makes a great statement with guests.

The wallpaper is so cool... Can I call it "Amazon"? :-) Love it!

  20. What a great use of such a beautiful wallpaper!

It's such a busy print that it would be overbearing from floor to ceiling in such a small space - but just using from the photo rail upwards is brilliant - the white timber still allows the space to look clean and calming, but the paper is such a great pop of colour and really enhances the high ceilings too.

  23. I'm completely smitten with that mirror. And the wallpaper... WOW! Amazing work.

  24. That looks amazing! With the sconce lighting leaving the high ceilings dimly lit it creates the illusion that the (beautiful, interesting) wallpaper is actually a forest canopy. The rest of the crisp white bathroom feels not foresty at all but clean & fresh.
    Love it!

  25. Love the wallpaper! Duck-egg blue? I've never heard of that ... reminds me of the paint colors in Mr. Blandings Builds His Dreamhouse ... have you seen that movie? That was my favorite part when she was trying to tell the painter the exact colors she wanted. If you haven't seen it, you should try to watch... great movie! I will look forward to you sharing the exterior!

  31. Lovely! I was just in the USA and was taking pictures of the rest room in the hotel I was staying. Louvered doors, golden ornate door handles, marble, chandeliers, ornate mirrors and so on. Loved seeing white louvers in this powder room.

  43. I loooove this look. I'm considering wallpapering my bathroom and after seeing how good this looks, along with another great wallpapered bath I saw here http://www.aliceindesignland.com/blog/designer-showcase-m-design-interiors.html. I think I'm going to go for it. Thanks!

  44. hi anna,

i know i sound like a broken record but your designs are just amazing to me. i have so much trouble adding a 3rd color to my black and white scheme and you do it effortlessly. i often dream of having you come in here and waving your magic wand of pinks, greens, blues and yellows. you should consider doing a post showing those of us afraid of adding the vibrant colors that you use in your life. pretty please.
