Today I Love

I thought I would collect together a few little items I absolutely love which were sitting on my desk today.  Obviously fluoro pink is currently a favourite hue.  I must say it is hard to get things in fluoro pink so whenever I see anything in the colour I grab it including the fluoro pink envelopes, the fluoro papermate pens I recently found at our local newsagent and a little snippet of boucle fabric with fluoro pink, fluoro green and fluoro yellow threads running through it.  We also just received a new collection of vintage suzani textiles  in the shop today and this one above is my absolute favourite!

Thank you...we have recently purchased a townhouse in Paddington and hope to visit the city more (from Toowoomba) now that we have a crash pad...so very soon I will pop into Black and Spiro for a peek! Can't wait! Cheers.

  4. It's a great cheery colour. I saw a story on tv a while ago that talked about how fluoro pink was created - it was amazing, so interesting!

  9. We watched a show on PBS last night all about Dale Chihuly...his amazing installation in the de Young Museum in San Francisco was spectacular! Wish I could have seen it in person. This post reminded me of his impossibly vibrant pieces, glorious. If you get a chance to see that documentary I highly recommend it.

  18. I love the colors of that suzani! I also love suzanis and I would say one that was embroidered by two girls for a couple of months in Samarkand is one of the best souvenirs I brought home from my Central Asian adventure. Your blog is inspirational! I love it.
