A New Thing for Purple

To be honest I have never really had a thing for purple but lately I have started to adore this colour when mixed with certain other colours.

  3. Anna,
O love purple and lavender. My bedroom was done in lavender when I was a teenager. Now I am adding lavender to my brown tones. Beautiful post.
    Have a nice holiday.

  6. I think I've always had a thing - often a big thing, too - about purple. But these shots are just so gorgeous, I think they could convince even the most ardent anti-purple fan how gorgeous it can look. Such a lovely combination for a spring-y Monday!

  19. I've never had a thing for purple (or mauve) either but in November, when Sydney is decked in purple from either wisteria or jacaranda, I'm inclined to change my mind. Your photos help too, especially the on of lilacs.

  21. Indeed,

same here, I used to lump it up with girly colors and never give it a second look, but it's the color of royalty. I love mixing it with grays, whites and even blues. It's beautiful with chartreuse and turquoise as well. I love the ballerina on the asphalt... it's an amazing contrast. These made me smile, thanks for posting them.

  24. Such a melancholy colour I think...teamed with other pastels it is very calming. I have always loved a deep lavender with a soft sage green, stunning.

  28. Me too. I was a late bloomer when it came to purple. Still have a problem with some of the brighter shades of this colour, but love the muted & more sophisticated shades.
    That Chanel bag looks yummy!
