A nice memory for me - I first saw this Carolyn Quartermaine image at a Tokyo bookstore, while waiting for a first date to arrive. Tokyo was even richer then, the book was very expensive, but I was captivated. He suggested he buy half the book and we eat a simpler meal at a Tapas bar. The 'downgrade' restaurant turned out to be unforgettably delicious, infinitesimally little, and completely authentic Spanish. This picture still gets me all joyful, all aspirational. And tonight, grateful - to Carolyn, to this kind man, to yellow, and to Anna.
