Working On

The lounge room started with these 2 vintage chairs which we had for sale in the shop. The clients loved them so much that we worked the entire room scheme around them.

I placed the art pieces on the floor first {as below} and then we had them hung on the wall once everything was in place.

Here are a few snippets of a lovely house I am working on at the moment. We hung the art work cluster wall this morning in the lounge room. The sofa is yet to arrive so once we have that in place I'll post some more photos. The clients just moved into the house at Christmas. Since then we've had it painted all-white inside and out. It is the most gorgeous cottage and looks wonderful with all the white paint. We are using lots of fabulous colour in the furniture and accessory pieces. More photos in a week or so, I promise!!

  15. Love all the prints you've chosen and the butterflies are particularly fabulous. Every time I see one of your projects I want to pick up and move to Australia, buy a cottage and paint it bright white (with pink accents!). Love! XO Katie

  21. Hi Anna

Your touch, as always, inspires me. I'm thinking of whiting out my many-coloured post-war home, highly distressed two-inch-wide hardwood floorboards and all to lighten up my world. Is it asking you to give away professional secrets if I ask what type of white paint you use on the walls? And what are your recommendations on painted or stained white floorboards? Are they a pain or a boon to live with in your experience?

  32. Hi, great blog! So, I have also been working on a wall gallery. My design challenge is I have 22' high ceilings. I was thinking about putting larger pieces like 24"x 36". Would u use larger pieces? It seems that anything smaller wont be as visually appealing. What do you suggest?
