The concept of open shelving in a kitchen or lounge room is often talked/blogged about but I do also like the idea of open shelving in a bathroom. These images above, which I have saved in my files, certainly show this concept very well. I like the idea of soaking in the bath tub looking at my beautiful things in the shelving surrounding me.
Another great idea for a bathroom, if you have a bath tub, is to use a drum stool next to the tub to put a book or a glass on. We have some lovely blue and white stools {and other colours too} in the shop at the moment which would do the job. I use one at home next to our bath and it is fabulous. I often have a pile of magazines on mine...nothing like reading some magazines in the bath at the end of a long day!!

Those shelves are lovely. I would love to put a cute drum stool next to my tub, but I have a feeling my roommate wouldn't see the "practicality" of it because our bathroom is tiny!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the shelving in that first bathroom! Especially if it were in an apartment with limited storage!
ReplyDeleteLovely images. I have a little antique three legged oak milking stool which I sit on when bathing the children. I agree you need something to put things on in a bathroom (including your own bottom if necessary)!!
ReplyDeleteLovely images!! I love garden stools for small occasional tables.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are divine! I love my duck egg blue, bathroom chair . . if only I could have those shelves for storage too.

I love the stool idea, and these jars are gorgeous! I'm always putting my book on top of a towel! Great idea for your candles too instead of on the baths edge. When I move back to Australia, I'm almost certain I'll become a regular customer.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the rug made out of - in the second photo with the drums? (& where can I find one pls?)
ReplyDeleteThe drum stools are gorgeous Anna. I think they would look great with a glass of wine on at the end of a long day! I am a huge fan of open shelving too - love to look at all my 'things'. x Caroline
ReplyDeleteThat first set of built-in's is fabulous.
ReplyDeletei not a huge collection gal, but love the camera collection and have been wondering what to do with mine

gorgeous. I know that open shelving can look cluttered at times but these look amazing and makes me want to start hanging ledges!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! The first photo is especially nice!
ReplyDeleteI just love your pictures!!
ReplyDeleteGood idea with the stool beside the bath!!
Lovely!! Sassa
I like the open shelving. Funny - the top pic is the voyeurs dream - the top shelf is all cameras, in the bathroom. Hah! Pretty, though.
ReplyDeleteDitto. Nothing like it. Smiles, LC
ReplyDeletei HEART this first bathroom! i can't place why i like it so much...but I'm in love!
ReplyDeleteSooo, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the firts one!
xoxo alice ♥
The first bathroom is beautiful, but I can't imagine having to dust the shelves in that second one with the starfish. It would take 3-4 swiffers.
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely! The beach bathroom is a fantastic idea!!! Xoxo-BLC
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of open shelves in the bathroom. That first pic w/the bedroom in the background is so appealing.
ReplyDeleteI love the shelving - I have a spot in my bathroom where I wanted to put up glass shelves - the supports for them have been the problem - I guess I need to find someone to cut some out of plexiglass - we opted for a smaller shower to have shelves - I imagine seashells and white towels - not very original but appropriate for where we live.
ReplyDeletelove this... open shelving is fabulous... that bathroom is darling.. x pam
ReplyDeleteI will never tire of a handsome, classic blue and white garden stool. I love bathrooms with actual furniture, not just built-ins. Wish I could see your store in person! Someday...

The stools looked great in the kitchens and gardens. The bar stools are really useful for the drinkers.

I am in love with the openness of the room. While the amount of shelves is intimidating, everything is spaced out nicely and there is no sense of clutter.
ReplyDeleteBar stools are super handy. I use them in my office to complement my Aeron chair by Herman Miller
