i love the second! the juxtaposition of the vintage plate and perishable cake against the modern technology. and how everything is cropped to a degree. very interesting and, as you say, pretty photo.
Have you tried the Caramel macaroons at Laduree? They are my favorites. I'm from Paris living in NYC, every time I go home, I make sure to stop by their shop at La Madeleine... It's funny the things you get nostalgic about. Thank you for taking me back there! Oh, and lovely plate under the cake.
I'll have a slice of that studel served on Limoge with my morning tea please...
