Outdoor Showers

After a long morning at the beach there's nothing quite like getting back to the house and having a cold shower to wash off all the salt and sand. I have these gorgeous outdoor showers saved in my files as inspiration for when we build our little outdoor shower over at Straddie one day...I'll just continue to dream and to collect more inspiration images for now as this little project certainly isn't on the priority list at the moment!! As my mum always says, good things come to those who wait...so wait I will.

  2. I love those outdoor showers Anna.
We have a very simple one underneath a fig tree and there is nothing better after a swim than a cold dunk while breathing in the scent of fresh figs. Worth the wait for sure.

  3. Hi Anna,
That is one of my favourite sayings, and 'everything happens for a reason'. Love the shower idea. It's too cold here still for swimming...you would need woolen swimmers!! Ness xx
PS - I have some pics I posted today of the new shop I am looking at. Would love your thoughts. x

  4. Anna! I love your inspirational images. We built one not too long ago and I, too, hunted for great pics to fuel us. Here are some others I found. When we finally built ours, we made it more simple and industrial since we're in the city and it's in our backyard -

Can't wait to see what you eventually do. I'm sure it'll be beautiful!

  6. I love outdoor showers too, my husband built one at a little cottage we used to own, it overlooked the water. Not as fancy as these beauties, but every bit as wonderful to experience (I save outdoor shower pictures too, for our dream cottage of the future).

  9. I love outdoor showers!! I wish I lived in a climate that was conducive to this idea - however, it's snowy and cold for 9 months out of the year... so, I guess all I can do is dream about these beautiful photos. Don't you love how a picture can transport you somewhere??

  10. Gorgeous images. Now we just wait for the sun to shine and summer to kick in! Quick question - I notice that All Things Bright and Beautiful is on your blogroll but the blog seems to have disappeared. Did it move to another address? An idea? ta.

  13. Lovely pics. I love outdoor showers, both for the beach and as a luxury. When I lived in South Africa my best friend had an outdoor shower, it was so wonderful showering under the sky and surrounded by a small private garden

  17. having an outdoor shower is imperative. my husband considers them a necessary part of a vacation, thus any house we want to rent must have an outdoor shower, or at the very least, a very nice garden hose!! good post!!!
