Frangipani & Ginger Jars

I just had to show you - she has 3 cabinets full of blue and white as above! She definately has a major obsession!!

Yesterday we went to Mum & Dad's for a Christmas lunch they held for 18 people. The house looked so beautiful. My mother is a very creative woman. She filled her numerous blue and white ginger jars with fresh flowering frangipani from her garden and they looked divine!! I had to share some pictures as above. As you can see, I meant what I said last week when I said that I certainly got my addiction for blue and white from my mother! I didn't realise she had so many pieces.

  5. I can't think of a better addiction to "inherit"! Is there a more serene color palette? Lovely, lovey home and arrangements! I think that pink chair is splendid with the blue and white and the view of the sea.

  6. I love frangipani, the smell is divine (though mine is in hibernation right now...sigh). I wish for the tropics where they bloom all year round! They are also a favorite flower for me to paint and the ginger jar combination gives me ideas for a new painting!!

  8. Oh My! What an incredibly beautiful room and collection and view! Thank you ever so much for posting these pics. I too inherited the love of blue and white from my mother and grandmother. For me, surrounding myself with a few blue and white pieces just gives me the sense of family and security. What an inspirational way to start my day(ooh that rhymes hehe)

I picked up a few beautiful pieces in England last month. They have so much of it over there. I was in heaven.

  17. the blue and white reminds me of home as well. my mother is an avid collector of the Spode blue and white china and we're working on putting together a display wall a la Kelly Wearstler's at the Viceroy.
