Grace's Bedroom

This is Grace's bedroom which I have just finished. Grace is a young teenage girl who loves pink so this is what I created for her. I am just finishing off a built-in desk unit which I have designed with pink and black patterned wallpaper sections so I will post pictures of it once it has been completed in a couple of weeks. She sure is a very lucky girl to be able to have this as her haven.

  2. Great minds think alike...I`m doing exactly the same pattern and color scheme for my daughters room.....used the stripes on the curtains and the pattern on cushions, accesories and the cupboard doors....will post when finished....love this!!!!!!!

  3. The wallpaper is lovely! Did you use it on just the wall behind the bed? I have been thinking about wallpapering just the wall behind my bed, but was unsure how it would look. Your pictures give me some ideas. I can see that there is a moulding and you've wallpapered just the part beneath. At what height did you place the moulding? Do you think this would work with a vaulted ceiling? Thanks for sharing your beautiful and inspiring work!

  15. it's great that while Grace loved pink you didn't make it a pink explosion. it's very grown up yet so luxurious at the same time!

did you paint etc those lamps yourself?

  21. Wow - thank you all of you for your amazing comments!! This one is certainly a winner!

To answer some of your questions. The wallpaper was done as a feature wall behind the bed and it was a Designers Guild paper. The lamps we bought in white and I had my handyman paint them black for me and of course custom made lampshades with a pink flat braid trim.

Thanks again everyone for your extremely kind comments.

  24. LOVE this! It's fabulous, too, because if she ever outgrows the pink (but let's hope she doesn't!), I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to keep the black and white and introduce a new accent color, red or teal or something. I don't think I could ever part with that wallpaper! She is a lucky girl, indeed.
