Jules' Apartment

















Here are some pictures of an apartment I have been working on lately with Jules, it's gorgeous owner! She has been so fun to work with and she is so easy as she loves everything I show her! I just adore her Art Deco apartment and I love the very thrown together, imperfect sort of a mix we have created which is what she wanted from the outset - she didn't want it to look like I had been there!! Thanks for being such a lovely, lovely client Jules, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you on this project and I can't wait till the wallpaper in the hallway goes up! I'll be sure to post pictures of that once it's done!!

    Beautiful apartment. I love the lamps in the bedroom are they from your shop? Also the black cabinet is beautiful.

    Hi Nicole, the lamps were a pair of vintage ones that Jules had but we made new shades for them for her! The cabinet was a brown timber colour before and we painted it in a black gloss which looks fantastic with her floors!

    Anna - this place is STUNNING! my apartment isn't quite art deco (unfortunately VERY FAR from art deco..) but my goodness if I could try and create a quarter of the style in this place I would be one very happy girl. Thank you so much for sharing it! x

    Hi Anna, I love looking at your blog. It is like a sipping a warm cup of tea - soul soothing. I've only recently discovered you and I am feeling quite inspired. I thought the lamps were beautiful, too. If you were searching for something similar on ebay, what sort of search words would you be best to use. Did you cover them with fabric? Thanks, Lisa.

    That bedside table with all of the books and magazines is so nice. I can't think of a more comforting spot than a bed with a bedside table covered in books to dive into. Does Jules need a roomie?

    This is just lovely!! I'm loving the pops of color against the whites throughout the home. And it's all so easy to add to and change around/swap in new pieces in the future without having to make any "big" changes (to major furniture pieces). And the chartreuse garden stool against the black wing chair -- fan-tas-tic. Makes me want to upholster my wing chair. :-) Thank you for sharing.

    The apartment is perfect - but in a not so perfect way LOL. Just the way Jules wanted it. I love the fabric on the ottoman. And the repainted black bookcase & chair.
    Also love the subway tile in the kitchen!

The owner must be very creative and energetic to live in these colourful and vibrant surrounds.
