More Ben Pentreath
Further to my previous post look at this fabulous picture taken at Ben Pentreath's store in London! What a wonderful and uplifting combination of colours and I love the Josef Frank fabric on the armchair mixed with the kilim stripe on the side chairs and the blue and white ginger jars! I really love his style.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAnd loving the bobbins of coloured thread in baskets. Totally unrealistic, but lovely colours.

Love your blog as usual !!!
Hi Isa, yes the English are very well known for using casters {the little brass or chrome wheels} on their furniture.
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog. Since you love Josef Frank, I thought you might enjoy reading a recent blog post I wrote about an exhibit of his that I recently saw in Seattle. Enjoy and keep writing about absolutely beautiful things! http://whatfeedsmysoul-aha.blogspot.com/2012/01/swedish-modern.html

I have a little bit of a chair fetish and those are particularly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the fabric on the armchair - its palette is really beautiful and the style so painterly - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks to you I now know of this immensely talented designer. (Which rock have I been under all these years?) The London store is gorgeous but it's his country house that's a real testament to his skills. Such a wonderful story... To think he spent his best summers there as a boy. Thanks for an insightful post Anna. Do hope you and your mum enjoyed New York. Janelle
ReplyDeleteLove the mixture of patterns, prints and colors. Beautiful!
